MedaVir's trademark protected formulation has been featured in the Official Physicians' Medical Journals above and seen on National Television.  Below are answers to some of the common questions our customers ask.

Q:  How common is the Herpes Virus (cold sores, genital herpes and shingles)?

A: Most people have the herpes simplex virus, either as genital herpes or cold sores.  The main difference is where it appears on the body. Experts estimate that 60 million Americans have the virus that causes the genital form of herpes, with up to 500,000 new cases diagnosed each year. In 1991, an estimated 45 million Americans were infected with the virus that causes genital herpes, and 40 million more have cold sore outbreaks.

Q:  How does the “more than 100% Satisfaction Guarantee” work?

A: With our A+ rating from the US Better Business Bureau, you can be assured that TAG Healthcare customers are highly satisfied with our products.  Since we know they will not work for everyone, any refund requests we receive are handled promptly with courtesy and respect.  If you are unsatisfied with Medavir for any reason, simply return the unused portion within 60 days of purchase for a refund of the product price (2 unit maximum) and receive a refund of the shipping charges you paid (standard only).  We will even pay the postage for you to send it back via USPS First Class Mail.  Refunds apply to first purchase only to avoid abuse of our generous policy.

Q: Is Medavir™ FDA approved and safe for everyone?

A: Yes. Medavir’s ingredients are approved under an FDA OTC Monograph. There are two types of FDA approvals for OTC products: (1) the FDA OTC Monograph System, where an OTC product contains an active ingredient that has already been found to be safe and effective; and (2) through approval of a New Drug Application (NDA), typically used for synthetic drugs. Medavir’s ingredients are sold under the first of these types of approvals.  In fact, Medavir’s ingredients are in the highest possible safety category set forth the by FDA with over 40 years of proven safe use.

Q: How does Medavir™ work?

A: Medavir works using a new proposed mechanism of action to attack and kill the live virus exposed in the skin, so less virus replicates and retreats back into the body for future outbreaks. Although there is no cure for the herpes virus, it is possible to lower virus levels so that the body's natural defenses can fight off any potential recurrent outbreaks.

Q:  How is Medavir™ used?

A: Medavir is most effective when applied topically to the affected area when you first feel tingling, itching or swelling under your skin, prior to an outbreak.  It should also be applied during an outbreak. Directions state to apply Medavir 3-4 times throughout the day and again at bedtime, thoroughly coating the affected area.  Continue using Medavir until the sores have disappeared and your skin has healed.

Q:  Has Medavir™ been independently tested as effective?

A: The ingredients in Medavir have been extensively tested by the following independent and trusted laboratories:

·      Product Investigations - An official FDA Clinical Trial demonstrated that the ingredients in Medavir can delay or prevent outbreaks, and reduce healing time substantially when sores do occur.

·      Procter and Gamble - Top scientists at this pharmaceutical giant have determined that Medavir ingredients could be effective in preventing or delaying Herpes Simplex Virus outbreaks.

·      University of Manitoba - Testing clearly demonstrated that Medavir’s ingredients are both antiviral and virucidal ("kills the virus").

·      SmithKline Beecham - Testing demonstrated that Medavir’s ingredients safely kill the virus that causes cold sores, which can prevent future recurrences.

·      National Medical Journals have recognized scientific research as valid by publishing several studies about the ingredients in Medavir.

Q:  Why is Medavir™ not available in stores?

A: Medavir was developed by a privately owned pharmaceutical research company. Most research companies do not have the resources to mass market a product. Often times the larger competitive pharmaceutical companies will license or purchase a new product in order to eliminate the competition. Therefore, we found that using a direct market approach for providing necessary medical products to consumers without delay or intervention is the best way to reach all customers. This allows research companies to fund additional research and continue searching for new medical advances instead of spending millions of dollars competing for shelf space in stores.

Q:  Why does Medavir™ work better than OTC and prescription products?

A: Medavir is a considerable improvement over the OTC and prescription drugs currently on the market today. Laboratory Testing has demonstrated that the ingredients in Medavir actually inhibit or kill the HSVI, instead of simply suppressing a viral outbreak. Present prescription products have marginal efficacy, considerable side effects, and can cause resistance when used repeatedly. Conversely, Medavir has greater efficacy, prevents recurrence, has no side effects, and exhibits no evidence of resistance. Unlike the current prescription medications that contain ingredients harmful to many patients, the FDA lists Medavir’s ingredients as GRASE (generally recognized as safe and effective). Still more beneficial are Medavir’s inherent pain reduction properties, which relieve discomfort and inflammation on contact. Competitive drugs do not provide pain relief.

Q:  How does Medavir™ differ from other products offered on the Internet?

A: Medavir is a patented pharmaceutical grade product developed by scientists, and researched and tested by a team of US physicians and scientists from America's top pharmaceutical companies. Medavir is NOT an herbal or dietary supplement often found on the Internet. Many herbal or dietary products make outrageous claims, but have little or no real clinical testing to back claims.

Also, most other herpes treatments you see offered on the internet today are from third world or foreign countries, such as New Zealand, where there is no regulation nor recourse for US customers if you are harmed by their products.  Most all other companies have many complaints with the US Better Business Bureau and other agencies.

Q: Is the medical team responsible for Medavir™ qualified?

A: With years of combined experience with top US companies and institutions, like SmithKline Beecham and the University of Florida, the medical team that developed the exclusive Medavir formula is highly qualified. All members are well respected medical professionals.

Q: Can I spread herpes even when I'm not having an outbreak?

A: Yes. The herpes virus can still be spread through the skin although there are no visible signs of an outbreak. This is called asymptomatic viral shedding. The majority of people catch herpes from an infected person who has no signs or symptoms.

Q: Can I have product information send to my healthcare provider?

A: Yes. We will gladly mail product literature and research to any healthcare provider. Simply Contact Us with the healthcare provider's name, address, telephone number, and a brief request for a product literature package. Upon our receipt, a complete information package will be sent.

Q: Is ordering online safe and secure?

A: Yes, Medavir uses Verisign Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption to secure your credit card orders. SSL encrypted transactions have been shown to be as safe as any other form of credit card transaction that you may make in your daily life, such as, buying groceries at the local supermarket.

Q: Is personal information ever sold or distributed to others?

A: No. Your name and contact information will be held in the strictest confidence and they will NOT be distributed or sold to anyone.
